JUST RELEASED! Notations: The Imagined Diary of Julian of Norwich

I am so excited about my new chapbook Notations: The Imagined Diary of Julian of Norwich. Each book is single signature and hand sewn. They make wonderful gifts for your special friends. (Not too early to think 🎄!)

And, yes! Invite me to do a reading in your home, garden, bookstore, winery, ruin bar, church and actually almost anywhere. Julian and I love to travel! Everyone needs a little bit of Julian in their lives! Just send me a note at alicecatheinej@gmail.com.

Thank you to Red Bird Chapbooks for publishing my book, which was written during a time of great sorrow and stress.

Going International…..

Have you thought about taking a writing workshop or spending time in a residency abroad? That’s what I did this past Spring. Two very different experiences in two different countries: Wales and Mexico.

Here are the poets entering the manor house at Ty Newydd for a poetry master class with Gillian Clarke and Carol Ann Duffy.

And here I am in Maravatío Michoacán with fellow artists at the local museum.

It’s a Sea Poem with a Twist!

How sea foam is this! I actually have a sea poem in a book and it’s sharing water with my writing buddies Lisa Stice and Raquel Vasquez Gilliland and loads of other folks from Australia, Canada, England, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Pakistan, and Singapore. Thank you Lost Tower Publications for believing in this poem and a shout out to my writing group! Love you all! Oh, and the title is “Watching a Clown Frogfish Feed.” Ha! It’s a sea poem with a twist.
