My crazy poem inspired by Lewis Carrol which begins with a lettuce seed and ends with the Vorpahl sword (“Who are YOU?” said the Caterpillar) has found a home in Tattoo Highway! It will be out soon in the upcoming issue themed “Down the Rabbit Hole.”
Here is 2017 Federation of Writers Scotland Makar, Andy Jackson, reading his Patchwork Poem on the theme of Freedom for National Poetry Day in Glasgow. Andy composed this poem by using a line from each of the contributing FWS members! And YES! a line from my poem was included! I may be a US born poet of Irish and English ancestors although, in heart, I know I must have some Scottish blood as well. 🙂
Many thanks to the editors of WELTER, the literary journal of the University of Baltimore, for accepting my poem “The Secret is Laid Bare” for its next issue. Holy Mid-Atlantic! This is the first time one of my poems has found a home in Maryland. 🙂 And, once again, gratefulness to my critique group. You keep me at it week after week after week.
